didit hediprasetyo haute couture fall/winter 2012-2013

As you've probably understood from all my twitter posts and videos, I was invited to the Haute Couture show of Didit Hediprasetyo yesterday, for Paris fashion week. The theme for the collection was "orchid", hence the predominance of purple. The general appearance of the models with their wolf-eyes lenses surprised me at first, to be completely honest. But I respect that it's the creator's vision; it certainly expresses what he had in mind. I cannot choose one favorite look but I would say that the embroidered amethysts, used as pearls, were what stunned me most. Now, click "read more" to see more looks from the show.
